Athletics: Grandma’s Marathon Filling Quickly

Duluth, Minn.: If you are planning to be one of the 9,500 participants in the 31st annual Grandma’s Marathon and have not yet registered, you are encouraged to send in your entry form as soon as possible. The field for the June 16 race is nearly three-quarters full after reaching the 7,000 mark today, Grandma’s Marathon announced. The marathon has reached its capacity for 12 consecutive years. Runners can download and print the official entry form for the 26.2-mile race by visiting the Grandma’s Marathon web site at www.grandmasmarathon.com. In all, over 17,000 runners and 50,000 race fans are expected to participate in Grandma's Marathon weekend.
