White service arrangements announced
Information regarding a service celebrating the life of five-time
Olympian and National Track and Field Hall of Famer Willye White has
been announced. White died Tuesday of pancreatic cancer.
The service will be held Saturday, February 10 at the South Shore
Cultural Center, 7059 South Shore Drive from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. In
lieu of flowers, donations for pancreatic cancer research may be made to
the Willye White Foundation, 55 E. Superior, Chicago, IL 60611.
"Fam" documentary aims to inspire
Fans who want an inside look at being a world-class runner can get a
glimpse in the documentary "Run Like Hell", which documents
steeplechaser Anthony Famiglietti's life on the track, from his high
school days on Long Island, New York, through his collegiate career at
Tennessee and finally to the packed stadiums of the Olympics. The
documentary goes beyond the track into the personal interests of the
2001 World University Games gold medalist in the steeplechase.
Produced by Fatto A Mano productions, "Run Like Hell" can be purchased
through Famiglietti's Web site, www.runfam.com. Famiglietti will be speaking about the documentary at 3 p.m. on
Sunday, February 11, at Schwab's 2nd Wind in East Setuaket, New York.
