Athletics: Two Days of Texas Relays in the Books

AUSTIN, Texas - Razorbacks Rio Reina and Kent Austell opened up competition at the 80th Texas Relays on Wednesday and Thursday, in Austin, Texas, at Mike A. Myers Stadium. Wednesday night, Reina opened up his outdoor season with the 5,000 meters. He finished eighth in the field of 20 with a personal best 14:54.82. Thursday, Austell competed in the prelims of the 400-meter hurdles. He clocked a 54.57, also a personal best. He finished 51st of 68 competitors and did not qualify for the finals.
