Ticket Packages going fast for Olympic Trials

Ticket packages are selling quickly for the 2008 U. S. Olympic Track and Field Trials at the University of Oregon's historic Hayward Field in Eugene, June 27 through July 6, 2008.

A limited number of eight-day all-session ticket packages are available for the selection meet that determines who will represent the United States at the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China.

Drake Relays features record breaking hurdlers

Anwar Moore, Ron Bramlett and Aubrey Herring will lead a strong field in the men's invitational 110m hurdles at the 2007 Drake Relays on April 28 in Des Moines, Iowa.

The early list of entries is headed byMoore, who set a Drake Relays record of 13.39 seconds in 2005. Just one week after the Drake Relays, Moore ran a personal best of 13.23 to win the 2005 Modesto Relays. Moore, 28, was ranked seventh in the U.S. in 2005 and ran a personal best 7.52 seconds in the 60m hurdles en route to a third-place finish at the 2006 AT&T USA Indoor Championships.Other previous Drake champions and meet record holders returning to compete in the event areRon Bramlett (2003, 13.66) andAubrey Herring (2002, 13.76). Joel Brown, who was ranked #10 in the U.S. last year by Track & Field News, also will compete along withDexter Faulk, who was fourth in the 60m hurdles at the 2007 AT&T USA Indoor Championships.Bramlett was the American leader in the 60m hurdles this past indoor season after winning the USA Indoor title in 7.47 seconds. Bramlett, who has a personal best of 13.26, was fourth in the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials. He was a two-time NCAA 110m hurdles champ in 2001-02, while competing for Alabama. He also finished fourth at the 2001 World University Games.

Herring, 28, owns a personal best in the 110 hurdles of 13.31 seconds set last year. He was ranked #7 by T&FN in the U.S. in 2001 as a senior at Indiana State when he won the 60m hurdles at the 2001 NCAA Indoor Championships. He finished fifth at the 2001 U.S. Outdoor Championships and also competed in the 2001 World University Games in Beijing, China. Herring was second in the 110m hurdles at the 2000 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Now in its 10th decade, the 2007 Drake Relays will be aiming for its 42nd straight sellout of the Saturday program.Reserved seats for Friday's afternoon session are $25 for adults and $13 for children (18 years of age and younger). Tickets for the Friday night session are $20 for adults and $10 for children.All seats for Saturday's session are $30. This year's Drake Relays will once again feature a Thursday distance carnival on April 26. All seats are general admission at $5 each for the Thursday program.
