OTTAWA - Diane Roy from Hatley, Que. finished in fourth place in the women's elite wheelchair division at the 2007 Boston Marathon while Montréal's Chantal Petitclerc was sixth. Roy crossed the finish line in a time of 2:04:13. The women's wheelchair division was won by Wakako Tsuchida of Japan in a time of 1:53:30. Amanda McGrory of the United States was second (1:58:01) and Sandra Graf of Switzerland was third. Petitclerc finished with a time of 2:15:36.
Michel Filteau of St-Jean Baptiste, Qué. finished in ninth place in the men's elite wheelchair division witg a time of 1:57:59. The men's wheelchair division was captured by Masazumi Soejima of Japan (1:29:16), while Krige Schabort and Ernst Van Dyk, both from South Africa, finished in second and third.
The elite men's champion was Robert Cheruiyot (2:14:13).
The elite women's champion was Lidiya Grigoryeva (2:29:18).
