Athletics (RRW): Elite Women Needed for Survey

Road Race Management, a distance running industry newsletter based in Bethesda, Md., is conducting a survey of elite female athletes to guage their attitudes towards early all-women's starts in road races. The early starts are used by such events as the ING New York City Marathon, Boston Marathon and Gate Rive Run 15-K where the top women start ahead of the overall field, ensuring clean head-to-head competition between women without any interference from men.

Phil Stewart, the RRM editor and publisher, would like any female athletes with a 37-minute 10-K or better to fill out the survey at this link: SurveyMonkey.com

After the survey results have been compiled, Stewart will send those athletes the results upon request. Just send an e-mail to pstewart@rrm.com with the words "Start Survey" in the subject line. The complete survey results will be published in an upcoming edition of the Road Race Management newsletter.
