(St. Paul, MN – 5/22/2007)–– “Best of the US” Management and Race Directors Mike and Marti Greer invite the triathletes of the Lone Star State to race at the 17th annual TRI-RAIDER SPRINT TRIATHLON / BEST OF THE US TEXAS QUALIFIER, a popular event contested at Buffalo Springs Lake east of Lubbock on June 24.
Texas has no shortage of triathlon talent. Among those that we hope to see on June 24 are 2005 representatives Bobby Gonzales and Michelle Lester, as well as Chris Arhus, Shanna Armstrong, Russell Avery (2006 TX BOUS Representative), Angelica Balentine, James Bales, James Cotter, Stacy Dannels, Alma Darensburg, Rip Esselstyn, Alisa Gartner, Todd Gerlach, Tracy Harrison, Aja James, Michelle LeBlanc, Joey Mcelhaney, Sheila NathoLance Parker, Victoria Piper, Seve Plamondon, Autumn Ray, Ian Ray, Tommy Rushing, Amanda Russell, 16 (2006 TX BOUS Representative), Melissa Ruthven, Jeannie Sampson, Sam Shildgen, 18, Ann Smith, Lynne Smith, Sally Taggert, Adam Wilk, Bree Wilson and Ahmed Zaher.
The fastest male and female resident amateurs will receive invitations to represent Texas at the “Best of the US National Championship” on October at Cypress Gardens Adventure Park in Winter Haven, FL. Any male/female combination of the abovementioned athletes will give the Lone Star State a formidable presence at the Championship.
