Triathlon: “Best Of The US” Invites Illinois’ Best To Race At The Evergreen Lake International Triathlon On July 21

(St. Paul, MN – 6/1/2007)–– “Best of the US” Management and Tri-Mom Events invite the triathletes of the Land of Lincoln to race at the 2nd annual EVERGREEN LAKE INTERNATIONAL TRIATHLON / BEST OF THE US ILLINOIS QUALIFIER at scenic Comlara County Park near Bloomington-Normal on Saturday, July 21.

Illinois has a multitude of great triathletes. In addition to their 2005 representatives, Christian Waterstraat and Kim Genenebacher, and 2006 delegate Davie Irion, here are some of the other athletes that we hope to see at the two-year-old Olympic course event (in alphabetical order): Elizabeth Attig, Jessica Aveyard, Tim Battles, Tate Behning, Jeremy Borling, Daniel Bretscher, Brian Cadman, Eric DeWitt, Jacquie Faust, Elizabeth Fedofsky, David Fix, reigning National Champion Jennifer Garrison, Karen Grabowski, Gabe Hamer, Jennifer Harrison, David Irion, Steve Johnson, Vachee Loughran, Jennifer Meyer, Eric Ott, Jennifer Schife, Tara Sheetz, Mimi Stickton, Mark Wachendorf, John Wiberg, Julie Wood, Brad Zoller, Adam Zucco and Lindsay Zucco.

The fastest male and female resident amateurs will receive invitations to represent Illinois at the “Best of the US National Championship” on October 6 at Cypress Gardens Adventure Park in Winter Haven, FL. Any male/female combination of the abovementioned athletes would ensure a dynamic presence for Illinois at the Championship.
