June 14 2007, OTTAWA – The IAAF Golden League kicks off tomorrow in Oslo with the Exxon Mobil Bislett Games. Comprised of six meets, the Golden League is a series of the most prestigious track and field competitions featuring some of the world’s top performers. The Golden League features a $1 Million jackpot for an athlete who can win their event at all six competitions.

The IAAF Golden League will continue on July 6 in Paris with the Meeting Gaz de France, followed by the Golden Gala in Rome on July 13. The remaining competitions take place in September with the Zurich meet on September 7, the Memorial Van Damme in Brussels on the 14 and the Berlin Golden League meet on the September 16.
CBC will have coverage of the Golden League, as well as the Canadian Championships and World Championships in Athletics taking place in Osaka, Japan.
