Early Bird registration opens July 4th for marathon and half-marathon WASHINGTON, DC - (June 28, 2007) - The Greater Washington Sports Alliance has announced that online registration for the 2008 Wirefly National Marathon and Half Marathon will begin at 12:01am (EST), July 4th, 2007 and the sale ends at 11:59pm (EST) on July 7th. Dubbed "Celebrate Freedom," the early bird registration sale includes registration rates of $60 for the marathon and $50 for the half-marathon. "We are very excited to give runners an opportunity to register early for our event. I believe the discount rate will help motivate runners to commit early and enable them to train with a singular focus for our event."
