OTTAWA Athletics Canada announced today 20 athletes which have to this point met the selection criteria for the 2007 World Championships team. The 11th IAAF World Championships take place in Osaka, Japan at Nagai Stadium August 25 to September 2.
Athletes can still qualify for the team by registering qualified performances before July 29. The full selection criteria can be viewed here. The team will be finalized following the completion of the qualifying period.

Chantal Petitclerc and Diane Roy qualified for the team with their performances at the Boiling Point Track Classic and International Paralympic Committee World Trials on July 7. They will both compete in the womens 1500 metres wheelchair demonstration event.
