Athletics (RRW): Nike Offers Running Shoes In Vintage Styles

The Beaverton, Ore., company has relaunched a retro collection at a special website, www.nikevintage.com, which features an entertaining storybook which will take you backk 30 years. "We are runners -- members of a pioneering family changing the world one waffle-coated, foam-cushioned stride at a time," reads the letter from the fictitious editor of "Oregon Runner" posted at the website. Five shoes, all but one featuring the famous waffle soles, are available: Cortez, LD-1000, Daybreak, Waffle Racer, and Oregon Waffle.
