Toronto, ON - October 12, 2007 – The 13th annual Toronto Marathon takes off this weekend on Sunday October 14! Results for the Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K and Relay will be posted online at SportStats.ca on October 14 in the early afternoon.
All events finish at Queen’s Park – just North of Wellesley St.
Winning Times & Awards:
Winners in the Half Marathon are expected to finish shortly after 9:00 am. An awards ceremony will be held at 10:00 am at the Main Stage area next to the finish line
Winners in the Marathon are expected to finish shortly after 11:15 am. An awards ceremony will be held at 12:00 noon at the Main Stage area next to the finish line.
Special guests Bart Yasso from Runners’ World Magazine, and running legends Kathrine Switzer, Roger Robinson and Dick Beardsley will be presenting the awards to the winners.

The Toronto Marathon is the largest and oldest marathon in Toronto, generating $15 million to the local economy each year. Over 10,000 participants from 40+ countries are expected to participate in the Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K or Relay on October 14, 2007. Since 1995, the Toronto Marathon has generated over $5 million for its various charitable partners including the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, Hemophilia, Multiple Sclerosis, Toronto Foundation for Student Success, ICA Canada and Diabetes.
