midwestevents.com congratulate the winners of their 9th Annual
Minnesota Multisport Awards, which were presented Academy Awards-
style at the Marriott West Hotel in Minneapolis on Friday evening,
November 16. Approximately 300 triathletes and their friends and
family members attended the gala event, which also featured the
distribution of the zany People's Choice Awards and the Minnesota
Multisport Series Awards.
The big winner of the evening was Apple Valley's Cathy Yndestad, who
took home three "Emmas" (Triathlete of the Year, Performance of the
Year, Most Improved). Duluth's Brian Bich was also a multiple winner,
receiving, as he did in 2006, the Triathlete of the Year and Master
of the Year trophies.
