BOULDER, CO (February 11, 2008) - CEO Challenges, the world leader in sport
competitions designed specifically for CEOs and C-suite executives, today
announced that AIG Private Client Group, a division of the personal lines
property and casualty insurance subsidiaries of American International
Group, Inc. (AIG), has become the title sponsor for all of the 2008 CEO
Ironman and CEO Triathlon Challenge events. As the title sponsor, AIG
Private Client Group will have its logo on the racing uniforms, an ad in
each event program, links on the CEO Challenges Website, and VIP passes and
access to private functions.
The CEO Ironman Challenge began as small 'race within the race' for 15 CEOs
at Ironman USA Lake Placid in 2001. The program is now an official licensed
product of the Ironman Corporation, and has grown to 125 CEOs at eight
events worldwide. The kick-off event this year will be CEO Challenge
Presented by AIG at the Ford California Ironman 70.3 on March 29. Eleven
CEOs, representing companies with over $2.8 Billion in combined annual
revenue, will test their fitness over the challenging course in Oceanside.
The winner will earn a much coveted slot to Hawaii for the CEO World Ironman
Championship, where they will battle nine other CEOs for the title of
'Fittest CEO(R) in the World'.
