TORONTO, ON, March 19, 2008 (CGX.UN) - Cineplex Entertainment is pleased to announce the one-time only presentation of the highly anticipated documentary Spirit of the Marathon in High Definition (HD), on Wednesday April 9th exclusively at 52 select Cineplex Entertainment theatres throughout Canada.

"We are excited to partner with the producers of Spirit of the Marathon to bring this inspirational documentary exclusively to our guests in Canada," said Pat Marshall, Vice President, Communications and Investor Relations, Cineplex Entertainment. "Watching Spirit of the Marathon on our big screens in HD is sure to move those in the running community as well as those who do not run. It’s a powerful experience for all."

"Spirit of the Marathon is more than a sports movie. It’s about life challenges and our ability to overcome them. We aimed to capture the spirit of the marathon and I believe the film truly exemplifies what the marathon and athletics are all about. We are thrilled to announce the international premiere in Canada!" said Jon Dunham, Producer/Director, Spirit of the Marathon.

Executive produced by three-time Oscar winner Mark Jonathan Harris, Spirit of the Marathon takes a passionate look at the famed 26.2-mile running event as six marathoners (four amateurs and two world class athletes - including 2004 Olympic Bronze Medalist Deena Kastor) prepare for and eventually come together to participate in 2005’s Chicago Marathon. Spirit of the Marathon is presented in Canada in partnership with The Running Room, New Balance and Active.com.

At Scotiabank Theatre Vancouver, this exclusive, one-time event will also include a special live question and answer session immediately following the presentation with the film’s director, Jon Dunham for guests to enjoy. Jon will also be available for media interviews.
