Triathlon: “Best Of The US” Invites Wisconsin’s Best To Race At The Wisconsin Triterium Triathlon On June 15

(St. Paul, MN – 5/2/2008)–– “Best of the US” Management and Race Directors Jim Bruskewitz and Dan Seymour invite the triathletes of the Dairy State to race at the WISCONSIN TRITERIUM TRIATHLON / BEST OF THE US WISCONSIN QUALIFIER, an Olympic distance classic contested at Fireman’s Park in Verona, WI on June 15.

Wisconsin boasts a plethora of talented triathletes. Among those that we hope to see at Wisconsin Triterium, are three-time Representative Cynthia Bannink (9th at 2005 BOUS Championship; 13th at the 2006 Championship; 4th at the 2007 Championship), Jeff Anders, Mark Beaversdorf, Wendy Bengsten, Karla Bock, Michael Boehmer, Brianna Boehmer, Laura Coleman, Heather Curnutt, Chris Davis, Alex Dean, Kim Dunker, Jeff Fleig, Maggie Fournier, Mark Harms (5th at the 2006 Championship; 3rd at the 2007 Championship), Aaron Kamnetz, Tracy Kellner, Laurel Kielber, Sarah Kolpin, Kristin Koravec, Jaime Kulbel, Kimberly Kuphal, Joe Kurian, Terry Labinski, Michelle Lanouette, Craig Lanza, Larry Lanza, Lynn Laux, Michael Meteyer (2005 Representative/12th at BOUS Championship), Isaac Pischke, Austin Ramirez, Chris Reikert, Brian Shaning, Joellen Torresani, and Tim Valley. “Wisconsin has sent super teams in ’05, ’06 and ‘07” notes BOUS PR Director Jerry MacNeil. “Harms and an injured Bannink just missed the podium in the Fastest State Competition in 2006. They returned in 2007 and absolutely dominated the team competition, winning by an unheard-of margin of almost two minutes.” Harms is a two-time USAT Athlete of the Year Honorable Mention.

Any male/female combination of the abovementioned athletes will give Wisconsin a very strong presence at the Championship.

The fastest male and female resident amateurs will receive invitations to represent Wisconsin at the “Best of the US National Championship” on October 26 at Tempe Towne Lake in Tempe, Arizona.
