(St. Paul, MN – 6/12/2008)–– “Best of the US” Management and race
directors Larry and Michelle Redrow of CGI Racing invite the
triathletes of the Garden State to race at the 3rd annual NEW JERSEY
STATE TRIATHLON / BEST OF THE US NEW JERSEY QUALIFIER, a great
Olympic distance race that will be contested at Mercer County Park
near Princeton, NJ on July 27.
Some of the many talented male triathletes we hope to see on July 27
include Steven Back, Rich Bostwick, Doug Clark, Brendan Corcoran,
William Kelly, Freddie Klevan, Mike Llerandi, Eric Marquard, Steve
Pyle, Brian Shea, Eric Shrading, Jesse Smith, Mario Souza, Michael
Stickel, Christian Struck and Matt Stypul. Top women include Peggy
Cavanaugh, Kristen Donohue, 2005 NJ BOUS Representative, Suzanne
Huelster, Kristine Kachinsky, Claudia Kretschman, Alyson Llerandi,
Cherri Marcinko, Carrie Merritt, Pippa Michaels, Amy Nalven, 2007 NJ
BOUS Representative Louise Nunan, Susan Reich, Tracey Swenson and
Katherine Ward. (New Jersey’s Christopher Martin won the inaugural
Best of the US National Championship in 2005 and placed 6th at the
2006 event. Chris now holds a professional license and as such is
ineligible to race in future BOUS Championships.)
The fastest male and female resident amateurs will receive
invitations to represent New Jersey at the “Best of the US National
Championship” on October 26 at Tempe Towne Lake in Tempe, Arizona.
Any male/female combination of the above mentioned athletes will
assure the Garden State of a strong presence at the Championship.
