Watch over 50 IAAF Events Live and On-Demand at WCSN.com

300+ Expected for Emilie Mondor Memorial 5K Race for Women

The field is shaping up quite nicely for Emilie's Run on Saturday June 21st.

While last year's winner, Pauline Githuka of Kenya, will not be back as she is not in Canada, Nicole Stevenson who was second last year - by two seconds - and who won in 2006, is returning. Kingston's Emily Tallen and the OAC Racing Team's Lanni Marchant will be looking to push Nicole.

We have a very strong Master's field headed by Marilyn Arsenault (17:09) of Victoria, BC. Paula Wiltse of Brockville who was fourth overall last year in 17:25, Ottawa's Liz Maguire (17:33 in 2006) and the top Masters in this year's ING Ottawa Marathon and Beth Primrose (18:11 this year) of Brockville will be fighting it out for a spot on the Masters podium.

A field of close to 300 women is expected to toe the starting line at 9 AM on Saturday, June 21st at the Aviation Museum. There is also a 1K run for children 12 and under starting at 10 AM.
