Athletics: Track Hogs Conclude at World Junior Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Razorback soon-to-be sophomore Luke Laird concluded competition at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland on Wednesday.

Laird, the USA Junior Champion in the javelin, competed in flight one of the prelims. He marked a toss of 202-6 to finish ninth in his flight but did not advance to the finals.

Also competing on Wednesday was Arkansas soon-to-be freshman Tarik Batchelor. Competing in the long jump finals, Batchelor finished 11th in the 12-man field with a jump of 23-0.5.
