Athletics: Future Lady Razorback Katie Stripling Set for NACAC Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Lady Razorback soon-to-be junior Katie Stripling, a member of the track and field team, will represent Team USA at the 2008 North America, Central America and Caribbean (NACAC) Under-23 Track & Field Championships. The event will be held July 18-20 in Toluca, Mexico. Stripling, a 2008 NCAA Outdoor All-American, will compete in the pole vault at the event. She recently completed the collegiate portion of the schedule with a bronze finish at the NCAA Championships and a 13th-place finish at the U.S. Olympic Trials. Stripling holds a 2008 outdoor best of 14-2, also Arkansas’ school record in the event. The NACAC Athletic Association’s U-23 Championships are held every two years in one of the 32 member nations of the North America, Central America and Caribbean Athletic Association, one of six regional athletics associations affiliated with the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).
