Triathlon: Being a Volunteer at the Monaco Ironman 70.3 means living a unique experience!

For the 4th edition of Monaco Ironman 70.3, Triangle and the FMTRI will welcome 800 volunteers from Thursday 4 through to Sunday 7 September 2008. This year the number of registered athletes increased by a third in comparison to 2007. There will be a total of 1140 participants, without counting the 40 teams of three individuals for the Relay Challenge.

“I experienced wonderful moments! We should all enjoy such a time!” says Josepha who is presents every year as a volunteer. They take advantage of being very close to the race and the athletes. From the registration of the triathletes to the prize giving, in Monaco or the hinterland, the event offers plenty of tasks, all of which guarantees the success of the event! Everyone can find a job to suit them: reception, helping athletes as they exit the water, transition area, bike park, management of the traffic, the provisions, Finish Line (medals ceremony, comfort of the athletes), team communication, checks, anti-doping and so much more.

From 10 to 90 years old, male or female, athletic or not, a volunteers ambition is to live inside a very special sports event and support incredible athletes. Dynamic, kind and engaged, the volunteer enjoys participating in the event’s success through different kinds of missions adapted to his skills and desires. Volunteers meet new people and are Ironman’s ambassadors in the Principality of Monaco and the French Riviera. Their ultimate goal is to work as a team and bring honor to the event. From the very first move while swimming to the last move while running, they are always there, ready to support and bring all the triathletes to victory. Every volunteer is part of the event and without them it would not be such a success.

Thanks to their enthusiasm and loyalty, every year the event is more and more of a success. Every year, their numbers are more numerous and they use their talents to return 100% happy competitors. There are still available places, if you want to experience a unique moment, get your application in on the Monaco Ironman 70.3 website without delay.
