Athletes and celebrities, Relay challenge, festive organization, mythical race and the environment Commitment will be present of this vintage Ironman 70.3 edition in the Monaco Principality.
With a rate record registration of 1300 athletes in July, Monaco confirms every year the athletes enthusiasm for this wonderful race. This event is organizing by the company Triangle Events which manages 5 other races in Europe and South Africa. Monaco Ironman 70.3 is more popular and glamorous than ever.... Sport celebrities are yet registered. The organizers will soon reveal their names, so they can write them on the Finishers race table.
For its 2nd edition, the Relay will gather 70 teams; with a growing registration curve as far as in 2008 there were only 40. (Dead line to register : August 30th). The principle of this Relay Challenge (1.9km SWIM, 90km BIKE and 21.1km RUN) allows to the athletes of only one discipline to have fun and share the friendly spirit of Sport. Some teams' names speak about themselves: Iron Tourist, White Nights, Let's Tri it or Bras Cassés (broken arms)... that shows clearly their great desire to compete and fight for..... fun! The winning team CERAM of Radio Monaco displays its ambition for its 2nd participation: to improve the clock and to highlight its colours! The humanitarian side of the Principality will be present with the Fight Aids Monaco team. Let the show begins...
To encourage the triathletes and Relay challenge's competitors, organizers have prepared about 9 hours of show which is completely free to the public. Start at 7.00 am with animations and music, at the Larvotto beach! Radio Monaco, partner of the event, will entertain in live the race day with live interviews and results.
The race course frame is unchanged this year for the athletes' pleasure. They will swim in Monaco Bay, bike in the hinterland with its breathtaking landscapes and run on the mythical Formula 1 race course with its well-known places: the Rascasse, Tunnel Louis II, the Hûtel de Paris near to the Casino's place...
Continuing its road into the eco responsibility, Triangle events company is dealing with the association 4vita® for an eco-friendly race, while promoting health and sport, the two others pillars of the association.
Monaco Ironman 70.3 and Monaco Ironman Relay Challenge gathers: a mythical race, a team spirit in a glamorous City. It is an amazing international sports competition!
