2009 USATF Annual Report now available
USA Track & Field, the national governing body for track and field, long-distance running and race walking, on Friday made public its second Annual Report, available online and in print.
Produced internally by USA Track & Field, the 2009 USATF Annual Report includes an inside look at the formation of USATF's strategic plan and its Board of Directors, 2009 competitive and organizational highlights and audited 2009 financials. It recounts a year in which the legacy of Jesse Owens was celebrated domestically and internationally and features athlete profiles of Meb Keflezighi, Dwight Phillips, Amy Palmiero-Winters, Ebony Eutsey and Leland McPhie.
The 36-page report is highlighted by dramatic photography and graphical elements that are hallmarks of the USATF brand.

For the first time since the 2009 World Outdoor Championships, Bernard Lagat will return to the Berlin Olympic stadium ready to compete at ISATF on Sunday, August 22, in front of 47,000 fans. The reigning World Indoor champion, Lagat is entered in the men's 3,000m.
The men's 100m will see Trell Kimmons, fresh off his personal-best 9.95 in Zurich, challenge 2008 Olympic silver medalist Richard Thompson (TRI) in the men's 100m.
The women's 100m hurdles will see two-time World Indoor champion Lolo Jones take on Priscilla Lopes-Schliep of Canada. Lopes-Schliep, who won silver here at the 2009 World Champs, won over Jones in London and Zurich earlier this year. 2010 World Indoor champion Debbie Dunn leads the field in the women's 400m that includes 2009 World Outdoor silver medalist Shericka Williams (JAM).
In the field, four-time USA Indoor champion and 2010 Indoor Visa champion Amber Campbell will compete in the women's hammer throw, while American record holder Kara Patterson and Rachel Yurkovich are entered in the women's javelin.
2008 Olympic Games fourth-place finisher Derek Miles and 2007 World Outdoor champion Brad Walker will challenge reigning Olympic and World Outdoor champion Steve Hooker (AUS) in the men's pole vault. 2007 World Outdoor champion Reese Hoffa, two-time Olympic silver medalist Adam Nelson will compete in the men's shot put.
