OTTAWA - Priscilla Lopes-Schliep of Whitby, ON captured the 2010 Diamond League title in the 100m hurdles this afternoon by finishing first in the seventh and final Diamond League competition in Brussels, Belgium. Lopes-Schliep won the race in 12.54 seconds with Pickering's Perdita Felicien placing third in 12.68 seconds.
Heading into the race Priscilla was tied in Diamond League points with American superstar Lolo Jones; however Priscilla's first place finish today in Brussels landed her the inaugural title and the 4-carat diamond and cash prize that goes with it. With her 3rd place today Felicien finishes 4th overall in the Diamond League.

Armstrong 4th in shot put Diamond League
Also competing today in Brussels, Dylan Armstrong of Kamloops, BC finished fourth in the men's shot put throwing 20.87 metres. A throw of 22.16m by American Reese Hoffa won the event followed by Christian Cantwell also of the United States and Tomasz Majewski of Poland with 21.62m and 21.34m respectively. Capturing the diamond in the men's shot put was Cantwell with 25 points, in second was Hoffa with 14 points, third went to Majewski with 7 points and Armstrong finished in fourth overall with 6 points.
