LA JOLLA, Calif. - (September 9, 2010) - Coastwise Capital Group, LLC and Generic Events have announced "Do the Double" at the 3rd Coastwise Mile and 5K on Saturday, October 2, 2010. The Double consists of a 1 mile foot race followed by a 5K run. The best combined time earns the title of Double Champion. Along with The Double are Toddler Trots, Mutt Mile, Canine Costume Contest and the fiercely competitive Baby Jogger division.
This annual event attracts seasoned, recreational, and new runners along a scenic, ocean-front course overlooking the coast of La Jolla. The family friendly Health & Fitness Expo showcases top Southern California businesses committed to promoting a healthy, active lifestyle.

A portion of the event proceeds directly benefits the Scripps Park Project and the San Diego Humane Society & SPCA.
