NEW YORK (30-Jan) -- Under a new agreement struck between the Armory Foundation and YouTube, the 105th Millrose Games will be broadcast live with high definition resolution through YouTube Sports. Veteran commentators Tim Hutchings and Dwight Stones will call the meet, scheduled for Saturday, February 11, at the Armory track and field center here in Upper Manhattan.

"The Armory's YouTube channel (YouTube.com/ArmoryTrack) will give track fans nationally and around the world the opportunity to see every moment of the Millrose Games live and uninterrupted for the first time," said Armory executive director Dr. Norbert Sander through a statement. "In the modern sports age, information and entertainment must be instantaneous to remain relevant, and as a part of Google's recent investment in YouTube Sports Channels, Armory Track will be a major player in the new digital world of track & field."

The live coverage will begin at 4:00 p.m., and the featured sections of the meet will begin at 6:45 p.m., Dr. Sander said. The meet will end with the NYRR Wanamaker Mile at 9:55 p.m.

"The YouTube Sports Channels are clearly the direction of the future, giving track fans live coverage, archived follow-up and multiple options for viewing on home televisions as well," Sander added.

In addition to the Millrose Games, other meets at the Armory will be broadcast live, including this weekend's New Balance Collegiate Invitational. A full meet listing is at YouTube.com.
